John Deere 210
A diamond in the rough, literally! During the time I was stationed in Alaska, it was very clear that if something was ever for sale that you wanted, you better jump on it immediately, or it will be gone the next time you look! Garden tractors aren’t big on resale up there, people that buy them keep them. I was looking through Facebook market one morning and saw this thing come up! I was ecstatic! I knew I had to have it as I really wanted a gear drive tractor. I had quite a bit of a debate with seller as he wanted to keep it first come first serve. Problem was, I was 6 hours away, and didn’t want to waste a trip if someone else came. I finally got him to hold it for me after a lot of monetary persuasion, and I was on my 6 hour 1 way trip to get it! Many may think it was dumb to spend more than a few hundred bucks on a 210, but let me tell you, I got a SOLID one! This machine was in incredible condition for being in Alaska. The engine runs smooth as can be, it was equipped with the hydraulic lift option, and had no major damages or missing parts. I felt like I found some Alaskan gold! After a good cleaning, it looked like something worthy of being in a show! I threw a new set of tires on it, replaced a cracked hydraulic hose, and changed all fluids, and this thing has ran like a top ever since! I recently lucked out on finding a sleeve hitch for it in Florida. Id like to think this is a fairly desirable machine now!
